The queen of beauty enters the stage. She rests her arms in prayer-pose in front of the heart centre and watches indifferently.
Then the music sets in, a melodic rhythm that makes the queen swing from end to end. Her tiptoes make her graceful body float above the surface.
She takes of the top garment to everyone's pleasure and reveals an oriental corset, shining in red and gold. When she turns around for everyone to gape at her bare legs, her arms jiggle slightly upwards and wide golden wings extend to her sides, the fabric shimmering.
Her dance continues as she swivels around and flaps the arms delicately. Eyes are drawn to her fragile figure, as long as she moves in a ballet surrounded by the feathering. She is about to turn a gay guy straight.

What do you think of burlesque? Can you enjoy it or do you think getting naked publicly is dishonorable?

Depends. I think it can definitely be tastefully done, in which case it's a celebration of the female body. I love your unique choice for B. Please, may I offer a critique? Could you perhaps substitute another word for jiggle? :)

I think burlesque has far more art to it than a stripper's show. But I was under the impression that burlesque dancers do not get completely naked.

I do have to agree with LI...I think you might be able to find something prettier than "jiggle". :)

    Great job!

I wouldn't go see a show, but as a guy, I'm all in favor of naked women. Not guys though - I don't want to see that!

I don't see a the problem with Burlesque. In the proper environment it can be done very tastefully.

    Nicely written.

Superbly done, and I agree about the jiggle thing :P But I don't still mind it a lot, for it is not something that you should alter, it is after all what came out of your mind :) Waiting for C!

I have no problem with it at all - as long as I can choose not to watch ;-)

I enjoyed this description. I think it depends on how the burlesque is done- if it's glamorous and sexy and is empowering women to be proud of their bodies then I think that's great. But if it's all about flashing as much flesh as possible for leering customers then that kind of cheapens it.

I had an honour of watching Dita Von Teese last month in Belgrade, and although her show was very short, it was delightful, sexy and not at all vulgar.

Burlesque is the art of dance and offers far more than the naked body.
Great choice for your B post.

    So I conclude:
burlesque can be good. After that performance I agree. It was stunning.

"Jiggle" - oh, I chose it because the she moved her arms up in a way that made the silk wings move rapidly, but I agree that the way it comes out is not preferable. I'm don't wanna change published and read posts, but thank you so much for the tip. In future, I'll be more careful.

    Dita Van Teese, wow, jealous.
